Safeguarding

St. John’s is committed to the  Safeguarding Photosafeguarding of all children and vulnerable adults. We believe that we have a duty of care to ensure that all activities within the church maintain the dignity, physical , emotional and spiritual wellbeing of everyone.

To this end we reject any behaviour, whether physical, mental, psychological or emotional, which makes a child or vulnerable adult feel humiliated, isolated, worthless or upset.

Our Safeguarding Officer is Margaret Omole.  You can contact Margaret with any safeguarding concerns by emailing her at margaret.omole@gmail.com.

Our Child Protection Officer is our Rector, Barnaby Huish.  You can contact him on rector.smxg.sjnx@gmail.com.

Finally, the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer is Beth Miller.  You can email Beth at beth@bethmillerisw.co.uk, or beth.miller@durham.anglican.org.  Beth’s mobile number is 07968 034 075.
