ST JOHN'S CHURCH NEVILLE'S CROSS DURHAM |
Welcome to St John’s.
My name is Barnaby Huish, I’m Rector of St John’s Neville’s Cross (and also of St Margaret’s near the city-centre). St John’s seeks to be a broad and welcoming church, open to people of all backgrounds, nationalities and ages. We make a genuine effort to express, in our life and worship, the joy of an awareness of the love of God alive in the world. We have a vibrant children’s and youth ministry encompassing ages 0-18; we also offer a variety of groups for adults, some prayer-based, some social, others focused on Bible study or themed discussions. We try to be rooted in the lives of local people, through community involvement and service; but at the same time we make a conscious effort to be aware of global issues and the life of the Church worldwide. On this website you will find information on several of the activities and resources which we offer. Our services are open to all. We often have people coming to St John’s who are new to the area, or new to Christianity, as well as visitors from near and far. Whatever brings you to St John’s, please know that you are warmly welcome, and I hope that, in what you encounter of the life, worship and people of this Church, you will experience something of the truth of God, and the transforming love of his Son Jesus Christ. God bless. Barney. Email: Rector@sjnx.org.uk |
