On Sunday 18 May we said farewell and God speed to Richard and Clare Firth, who for the last 20 years have both been such an integral part of St John's, one or other of them in so many roles it's impossible to list them all: church cleaner, curate, electoral roll officer, health and safety adviser, home visitor, lay reader, PCC Secretary, PCC Vicechair. Here are some scenes from the day, including:
- all those who attended the morning services (and were prepared to show their faces for the photos!) (001 and 002)
- the possibly unique occurrence (according to her own words) of Clare speaking in public (010)
- the "matures" (?) session on the bouncy castle (013)
- and what appears to be Richard doing an impression of Frankie Howerd (014) (sorry Richard!)
