MIDWEEK ACTIVITIES

All our groups and activities welcome newcomers and visitors. For up-to-date details of what is happening and when download the latest news-sheet or contact the Parish Office. What follows is just a brief guide.

For all

Cell groups are small groups which meet in members’ homes to share study, prayer and fellowship, and to help us to grow together.

Perspectives is a group which meets roughly once a month giving the opportunity to explore topical issues and contemporary living.

The Mothers’ Union, despite its name, welcomes everyone and meets on the second Monday of the month at 1.45pm, with a short service followed by a speaker or discussion.

The Prayer Breakfast is in the church centre on the second Saturday of the month, beginning with a time of prayer at 8.30am and concluding with coffee and croissants.

We offer personal prayer after the 10am service each week. If you have come to church with a concern or need, go to the Afterprayer point after the service and someone will pray with you.

The Book Group meets bi-monthly for an interesting, informal discussion with refreshments, about a selected book. See the weekly or monthly news-sheet for details.

For young people

We have a full and active ministry to children and young people, some of which is shared with other churches. Most groups are term-time only, and this is just the bare bones. Contact us to find out more.

Little Fishes (0-24 months), Funky Monkeys (2-4 years), John’s Juniors (5-10) and Think Tank (11-14) are the alternative to staying in church, and meet during the 10am service on Sundays, usually starting and finishing in the church service.

Superkids is an afterschool service with a difference, for Years 3-5, Tuesdays in term time at 3.30pm.

LOL (Living out Love) is a service run by young people: usually on the second Sunday of the month, 7.00 to 9.00pm, venues vary. ‘Loud music in a quiet church!’. Click here to open a new window on LOL's own website.

Super6 is an after-school club especially for those in Year 6, and meets in the church centre on Thursday afternoons at 3.45pm.

Dive meets at 7pm on Monday evenings in Antioch House, with fun, games and a look at God for Years 7 and 8.

Deeper (14-18) meets on Wednesdays at 7.30pm in the church centre for fun and serious stuff as well.

Play People is not a church-run group, but is a friendly meeting place for parents, carers and up-to-5s, in the church centre on Tuesdays 9.30 - 11.30am in term-time. There is a small charge per family, which includes refreshments. There is also a Twins Club which meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, 10am-12noon, also in the church centre.
