Welcome to St John's Church Neville's Cross, "the church at the crossroads". Here we tell you something about ourselves, how to find us, how to contact us, and what goes on through the week.
St John's is a lively church on the western outskirts of Durham. We were founded as a mission church in the late 19th century and are seeking to work that calling out in the society of the early 21st century.
St. John�s is a church with a diverse assembly of people, with many personal qualities and talents. We recognise the variety of gifts that people bring, and are seeking how best to support and nurture people so that their gifts can be used in the development of the mission of the Church.
People in the congregation have different views of how we relate to God and how He deals with us. These diverse views are shared and valued as we explore our understanding of the mission of God in worship, prayer, evangelism, teaching, discipleship and fellowship.
We are richly resourced both financially and in terms of the skills and talents of church members. We are excited about the possibilities of using these resources not only in St. John�s but also in the wider community.
